To support women and their families while dealing with an ovarian cancer diagnosis, treatment and every day life.
About This Cause
our mission Ovations for the Cure, Inc. is dedicated to the relentless pursuit of a cure for ovarian cancer. 1. Our education programs focus on increasing public awareness of the symptoms of ovarian cancer in an effort to improve earlier detection of ovarian cancer and thus better outcomes for women who have ovarian cancer. We do this through brochures in doctors offices, speaking engagements and social media. 2. Secondly, our patient programs are created to give knowledge, hope and comfort to those women currently diagnosed and living with ovarian cancer. We currently offer the Helping Hands meal program to assist women to eat healthy during their treatment, our Butterfly Bangle to show support and sisterhood through this disease and our Learning for Living Symposium offers a free day of learning about the latest treatments and research presented by some of the top gynecological oncologists followed by a beautiful luncheon allowing everyone to share their stories with others. This has become known as out day of hope and healing. 3. Ovations for the Cure, Inc. also provides critical funding for new and ongoing ovarian cancer research initiatives that focus on early detection, prevention, developing more effective treatments for ovarian cancer, and to cure ovarian cancer in our lifetime. Since 2006, we have donated over $1.6 million towards this goal.
