Mission Statement
The Hellenic-American Cultural Center & Museum (HACCM) gathers, preserves, and shares the Hellenic (Greek) American experience in Oregon and SW Washington.
About This Cause
We pursue our mission by operating a museum and cultural center. The museum maintains a collection of artifacts, paintings, archives, and other objects, and hosts exhibitions on a range of topics related to Greek history, art, and culture. The cultural center organizes events including lectures, interactive classes, and school tours that complement and bring the museum collection to life. Building on virtual programming developed during the pandemic, we have grown our digital services, including a monthly podcast and an online interactive exhibit. HACCM exists to preserve Hellenic culture in the PNW by building community, celebrating diversity, and connecting audiences to culture. We believe that Hellenic culture is both enduring and dynamic, and while we serve our audience in the present, we are inspired to continue our work for future generations.
