Mission Statement
Zip Zap Circus affiliates across the globe supports all activities of Zip Zap Circus School, located in Cape Town, South Africa. Zip Zap Circus is a social circus that was founded in Cape Town in 1992 to inspire young people and help build a new culture of peaceful coexistence in South Africa. Working with a diverse community of children from all backgrounds, Zip Zap helps kids to "dare to dream" and to make those dreams a reality. Zip Zaps programs are all free to participants with material and financial support coming from individuals, organizations, corporations and foundations. In South Africa and the world at large, Zip Zap is recognized across Government Ministries of Education, Tourism and Arts and Culture, and private societies as a major contributor to the development within the iconic "Mother City", providing sustainability of the circus arts in South Africa.
About This Cause
The Corporation supports activities and programs aimed at fostering and promoting social equality, youth development, peaceful coexistence and community uplift through training and performance in circus arts and related disciplines and provide information about and promote interest in the charitable and educational activities of the Zip Zap Circus School in Cape Town, South Africa. These purposes may be pursued by, but not be limited to, providing support and making grants to or for the benefit of the Zip Zap Circus School.
