Mission Statement
The mission of the SHCA Trust is to collect and distribute funds to aid the Siberian Husky breed in the areas of education, rescue, and health. We are dedicated to improving the lives of all Siberian Huskies.
About This Cause
About Us The SHCA Trust was established in 2006. Our mission is to collect and distribute funds to aid the Siberian Husky breed in the areas of health, rescue, and education. We are dedicated to improving the lives of all Siberians. Health The Trust offers charitable grants for seminars related to genetic, health, and medical issues affecting the Siberian Husky. The Trust also provides support for medical research to benefit the health and quality of life of the Siberian Husky breed. Rescue The Trust provides charitable grants for funding for rescue through a nationwide network of approved Siberian Husky rescue organizataions. These grants include an Emergency Medical Grant, a Spay/Neuter grant, and a newly established Humanitarian grant. Education The Trust's educational grants help to provide educational materials and programs on the atrributes, characteristics, description, function, and trainability of the Siberian Husky to the public, which includes potential owners, owners, fanciers, breeders, judges, etc. Even though we are affiliated with the Siberian Husky Club of America, Inc., the Trust, is organized under section 501(c)(3) of the IRS as a separate entity with separate purposes, governing documents, bank accounts, financial records, and board of directors. According to IRS regulations, the Trust's activities must not be for the benefit of SHCA, Inc. As a 501(c)(3) organization, donations to the SHCA Trust may be tax deductible. Donors should consult with their tax advisors for information regarding the deductability of donations.
