Mission Statement

The National Manufactured Home Owners Association (NMHOA) is a membership based non-profit working to preserve and protect affordable housing for millions of Americans residing in manufactured housing communities (commonly called "mobile home parks".

About This Cause

NMHOA has been in existence for 15 years. It was formed by and for people who own their homes but who rent the land under them and live in manufactured housing communities. More than 2.9 million families reside in 50,000 manufactured housing communities (mobile home parks) across the U.S. These families are some of the most vulnerable homeowners in the country. Having chosen to live within their means by purchasing a mobile home, they did not realize that they would end up being captive in their own homes subject to huge rent increases, harassed if they stand up for their rights, and living with fear of eviction because if the land under their homes is sold for another purpose they will lose everything - all the equity they have in their homes and facing the possibility of homelessness while still having a mortgage to pay for a home that is now worthless. NMHOA works with homeowners across the country to help them preserve their homes and their communities since manufactured home living can be part of the solution to the affordable housing crisis facing this country today.
