Mission Statement
Omprakash creates transformative educational experiences by connecting grassroots social impact organizations around the world with an audience of volunteers, donors, and classrooms that can learn from and support their work. Founded in 2004, our network includes over 140 ‘Partner’ organizations in over 40 countries, and we have helped these Partners connect with over 18,000 volunteers and more than $5M of donations. Our Education through Global Engagement (EdGE) program matches rigorous online curricula with immersive international internships, leaving participants better prepared to understand and engage with local communities and complex social problems during and after their time abroad. We partner with universities to help them build their own custom EdGE programs, and we also welcome students who are not affiliated with any institution.
