Mission Statement

YWCA Princeton is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.

About This Cause

For over a century, YWCA Princeton has been a strong advocate for underserved communities, including low-income families, immigrants, and people of color. More than ever, women, immigrants, and families throughout Central New Jersey rely on our support. Since 1922, our local programs and services have advanced YWCA Princeton's mission of empowering all women and their families to reach their full potential in a world free from discrimination. Whether through our childcare services at the Burke Foundation Early Childhood Center, mission-aligned racial justice initiatives, ESL and workforce development courses, or health and wellness programs through our Breast Cancer Resource Center, YWCA Princeton remains committed to fostering a community where all people can live with dignity and respect. Achieving this mission requires forward-thinking, anticipating the needs of our clients, and developing innovative solutions to address the most common challenges they face, including poverty, lack of affordable and reliable childcare, and underemployment. As these issues grow more complex, there is an urgent need for additional resources to meet the increasing demand for our services. We are an affiliate of YWCA USA.
