Mission Statement
Center for Family Resources, Inc. (CFR) is a private, non-profit community organization that is dedicated to promoting the general well-being of all children and their families. We strive to build partnerships with families and the community in order to provide high-quality comprehensive child development and family strengthening services.
About This Cause
Center for Family Resources is the parent agency for The Highlands Family Success Center (HFSC). HFSC is a safe and welcoming environment offering family oriented programs and strength-based activities. Located in West Milford, we provide a variety of services for upper Passaic County based on suggestions and recommendations from the community. Family Success Centers are multi-faceted, community gathering places that offer families and individuals convenient access to information, support, and resources that help develop and maximize their strengths and potential. The Highlands Family Success Center is a community gathering place geared to inform and empower families. We provide support, referrals, activities and workshops to enrich the lives of others and strengthen connections within and between families. Family Success Centers are designed to be “one-stop” shops that provide wrap around resources and supports to families – making them and the communities they live in – stronger. Staff serve as advocates for families and help connect them to other resources available to them. Services include, but are not limited to: access to child, maternal and family health services; parent education; employment related services; development of life skills; housing related services; advocacy and related support; as well as information, referrals and linkages to community resources. The Highlands FSC is continuously developing unique partnerships under this initiative, to further strengthen families and the community. With input and suggestions from the community a calendar of events is released monthly, detailing the month’s activities and events. All of the Family Success Centers’ activities and services are provided at no cost, and open to the community.
