Mission Statement

The mission of the Concord Community Music School is to provide the widest array of music education, performance, and engagement opportunities to people of all ages, and to ensure that everyone can access these opportunities regardless of financial ability, ethnic or cultural heritage, age, physical ability, or other barriers to engaging in music. Toward that end, programs take place both at the School itself and throughout the community, and 15% of the School’s budget is dedicated to student financial aid.

About This Cause

Concord Community Music School enrolls 1,500 students from > 100 municipalities. We offer live lessons, classes, community outreach, and >200 public events, concerts, recitals, lectures, and weekend workshops. Our Programming: Onsite: A faculty of 50 provides instructs students in private and group instrumental and voice lessons. Students can explore music via audio production, ensembles and choruses, music theory, ear training, composition, and expressive arts therapies. Our building features 25 teaching studios, 4 ensemble rooms, a recording studio, and 3 performance spaces. Offsite: CCMS partners with schools, daycare centers, hospitals, and other organizations to serve those who have limited access to positive, high-quality, musical learning experiences. The majority of these programs are designed for young children and their families.
