About This Cause
OUR VALUES Our values are our shared beliefs that reflect what is most important to us. In all that we do, we are grounded in Jewish values, which we have defined to reflect our commitment to the organization, our people, and the diverse community we serve. Community (Kehillah): We create community through connection and healing, fostering a sense of belonging and purpose for everyone. Dignity (B’tzelem Elohim): We honor the inherent dignity and importance of each individual as they navigate life’s challenges and transitions. Repairing the World (Tikkun Olam): It is our responsibility to do our part to make our community and our world better. DIVERSITY, EQUITY, INCLUSION & BELONGING At JFCS, we commit to diversity and equity by fostering greater inclusion and belonging among our staff, Board, and those we serve. We are dedicated to growing an organization that proactively works on dismantling the systems and attitudes that keep racism and oppression in place while celebrating the gifts of diversity and creating equity for all. We are dedicated to creating an organizational culture that reflects both the JFCS legacy and foundational purpose and the diversity of cultures and lived experiences of the community we serve. As a Jewish organization, our values motivate this work. We believe deeply in recognizing the dignity in each individual (B’tzelim Elohim), repairing the world through direct action (Tikkun Olum), and creating a community where all are welcome, can contribute, and be heard (Kehillah).
