About This Cause

Junior Achievement of Southeastern PA's purpose is to equip young people for economic mobility and the pursuit of their own ambitions. In collaboration with educators, community organizations, and businesses, we ensure that young people (ages 5-25) have access to high quality financial education and career readiness learning experiences to inspire possibilities, prepare them for careers, and build skills to succeed. JA’s curricula focuses on three pathways: Financial Literacy Workforce and Career Readiness Business Education and Entrepreneurship Experiential Learning Our programming aligns with national and state standards, and as Pennsylvania recently became the 25th state to require Financial Literacy for all high school graduates, Junior Achievement of Southeastern PA (JASEPA) stands at the forefront of this mandate to be the Provider of Choice for the school systems in our served areas. Our programs are taught in inner cities, suburbs and rural areas, with focus on under-resources communities and expanded programming for middle and high school students. JA's success lies in our unique delivery model 1. Delivery system of diverse volunteers 2. Flexible, proven curriculum supported by materials enhanced by volunteers' experiences 3. Experience-based-learning enabling students to gain knowledge through age-appropriate activities 4. Volunteer and teacher training in addition to staff support
