Mission Statement
The purpose of Longwood Fire Company is primarily the protection of life and property from fire or other hazards. The fire operation provides fire and rescue services to the townships of East Marlborough, Kennett, Pennsbury, and Pocopson, or portions thereof. It also provides technical rescue services as needed, both inside and outside the coverage area, upon request. The emergency medical services operation offers both basic and advanced life support services in the townships of East Marlborough, Kennett, Pennsbury, and Pocopson, or portions thereof; and parts of Kennett Square Borough and Newlin Township. Both the fire and EMS operations render assistance to adjoining fire companies and other emergency organizations, upon request or agreement. Longwood Fire Company emphasizes training, skill development and community outreach for its members and employees. It also provides education to the public about fire and medical issues, and fire and EMS coverage for community events.
