BETHESDA PROJECT

PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania, 19146-1542 United States

Mission Statement

Bethesda Project's mission is to find and care for the abandoned poor and be family to those who have none. Our mission is unique in that many of the individuals we serve are the most vulnerable, marginalized men and women who are experiencing chronic homelessness in Philadelphia. Our professional staff and dedicated volunteers aspire to "be family with those who have none" and to treat our shelter guests and residents with the utmost compassion, dignity and respect.

About This Cause

Bethesda Project provides emergency shelter, transitional housing, permanent supportive housing, case management, and other services for adults who are experiencing homelessness or who were formerly experiencing homelessness. Our goal is to help each resident live in the most independent setting possible, working with each person on an individual basis to ensure they are receiving the specific services they need to improve their quality of life. Case management and other services are designed to help people set goals and meet their goals at his or her own pace. We have 15 sites in and around Center City Philadelphia.
