About This Cause

The Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy works in partnership with the City of Pittsburgh to improve our city parks. We envision a wide appreciation and enjoyment of a sustainable park system whose landscapes, facilities and programming set world standards of excellence. Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy projects include ecological restoration, environmental education programming, volunteer recruitment and oversight, as well as capital restorations including Schenley Plaza, the Highland Park Entry Garden and Mellon Square. Since the Parks Conservancy was founded in 1996, we have raised more than $84 million for Pittsburgh’s parks with the help of dedicated park friends like you.
