Mission Statement

The Mission of the Brain Injury Association of Pennsylvania is to prevent brain injuries and to foster an inclusive community of education, advocacy, supports, and research to maximize the quality of life for those with brain injuries and their families.

About This Cause

The Vision of the Brain Injury Association is a world in which people with brain injuries and their supporters are leading fulfilling lives, participating in their communities. BIAPA's programs include the Brain Injury Resource Line (BIRL), which is staffed by volunteers who are able to provide information about resources that may be of help to people with brain injury or their family. BIAPA also hosts three online support groups: for brain injury survivors, caregivers and brain injury survivors recovering from Covid19. Additionally, Brain Safety Fairs provide education about how the brain works and brain injury prevention. Some include the fitting and distribution of free bicycle helmets for children and adults.
