Mission Statement

To unite women of Ukrainian descent and affiliation in service, friendship and dedication in order to promote and develop educational and cultural efforts and humanitarian assistance to Ukrainians worldwide.

About This Cause

Established in 1925, the Ukrainian National Women’s League of America (UNWLA) is the longest-running and largest Ukrainian women’s organization in the US. The UNWLA has a long history as a trustworthy donor of humanitarian aid to Ukrainians wherever they may live. As a tax-exempt 501c3 charitable organization we have been the premier response organization assisting Ukrainians in need globally. Monetary grants and material supplies are clearly targeted for medical assistance, sustenance and other humanitarian support. Despite many obstacles, Ukraine's history demonstrates a nation's determination to preserve its ancestor's legacy. Through its cultural projects, the UNWLA showcases the uniqueness of Ukrainian art, language, traditional and the unbending will of a nation to preserve its legacy and continue its creative spirit. The UNWLA has put considerable effort into supporting education through which the Ukrainian people can learn to rely on themselves, improve their circumstances and create new opportunities for themselves and their nation.
