Mission Statement
The National PTA is recognized as the oldest and largest volunteer association working exclusively on behalf of children, youth and their families. The objectives of PTA are: To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community and place of worship. To raise the standards of home life. To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth. To bring the home and school into a closer relationship, so that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth. To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social and spiritual education.
About This Cause
Mountain Avenue's PTA was founded when the school opened in 1967. It is a community of students, teachers, staff, parents, officials, and businesses working together to help ensure the school's success. Our PTA provides a multitude of programs, including the art docent program, book fair, Reflections, drama program, Field Day, Carnival, enrichment assemblies, room parent volunteers and much, much more.
