About This Cause
Since 1969, the Denver Police Activities League has worked to involve youth in positive endeavors to build self-esteem and pride. We serve through athletics, recreation and educational activities. With no government funding, we rely solely on contributions, corporate sponsorships, grants, and in-kind gifts. Our mission to expose youth to experiences beyond their community includes the D-Day Leadership Academy, which introduces kids to the sacrifices made by the Greatest Generation and provides several students each year with the opportunity to visit Normandy, France for an immersive educational experience.
