Mission Statement

Washington FBLA's mission is to unite business and education in a collaborative partnership, fostering innovative leadership and empowering students through impactful career development programs. Targeting the state of Washington - our programs equip students with the skills, experiences, and connections needed to excel in the modern workforce and drive economic growth within the state.

About This Cause

FBLA is a premier organization dedicated to inspiring and preparing student leaders to become community-minded business leaders in a global society through relevant career preparation and leadership experiences. For over 70 years, FBLA, along with its Middle Level and Collegiate Divisions (Phi Beta Lambda), has empowered millions of students to unlock career success, achieve personal goals, and develop business leadership skills. Guided by its motto of Service, Education, and Progress, FBLA engages over 250,000 students in innovative leadership and career development programs at local, regional, state, national, and even international levels. Specifically, Washington FBLA annually helps over 4,300 members prepare for careers in business through chapters in high schools, middle schools, junior high schools, and private schools across the state. Our students acquire essential soft skills, including professional communication, public speaking, networking, and adaptability, alongside technical expertise in fields such as finance, marketing, computer science, and graphic design. As a comprehensive career and college readiness organization, Washington FBLA offers: Leadership development through workshops, conferences (like the Regional Skills Conference and State Business Leadership Conference), and real-world experiences, including opportunities to serve as State Officers. Academic competitions that validate skills and knowledge in a broad range of business and career-related areas, often judged by practicing professionals. Mentorship opportunities connecting students with professionals to guide their career and entrepreneurial journeys. Business engagement initiatives that bridge students with industry leaders to explore future opportunities, such as the Washington FBLA eXpo. You can support Washington FBLA's mission by: Sharing your expertise as a volunteer judge for student competitive events, providing invaluable feedback. Mentoring a student to inspire young minds considering entrepreneurship, community service, or specific career paths. Investing in our mission by providing financial or technical resources to strengthen our infrastructure and enhance program delivery. By partnering with Washington FBLA, your company can make a lasting impact on education, workforce development, and community growth, empowering Washington's students to achieve their full potential and become tomorrow's leaders.
