Mission Statement
We are the American Friends of the Israel Museum. We organize events that aim to strengthen the support for the museum and bring Friends together that all share the same interests. Those interested in supporting the Israel Museum in America can do so through us in order to receive a tax deduction.
About This Cause
Described by some as the museum miracle of the 20th Century, the Israel Museum is the largest cultural institution in the State of Israel and the nation's encyclopedic museum of art and archaeology. Situated atop the Hill of Tranquility in the heart of Jerusalem, its 20-acre campus sits in close proximity to the Knesset (Israel's Parliament) and other Government ministry headquarters, The Hebrew University, and the Crusader-era Monastery of the Cross. Through the vision and dedication of its founders and friends, The Israel Museum has grown to include collections reflecting a great many of the world's cultures and periods of art history, ranging from biblical archaeology to Israeli and international contemporary art, placing it among the ranks of the great art museums of the world. Your support greatly helps the Israel Museum maintain its superb collections and facilities, any and all donations are greatly appreciated and tax deductible to the extent provided by the law.
