Mission Statement
To advance Architects ‘ meaningful and collaborative involvement throughout the PGH region: fostering civic activism and leadership, sustainability, and the well-being of our communities.
About This Cause
AIA Pittsburgh’s Foundation for Architecture provides leadership development for architects and emerging architectural professionals. Now in its third year, the Leadership Institute for Emerging Professionals is a primary program of the foundation used to help fill a void in architectural education by teaching leadership skills. As the signature program of the Foundation for Architecture, the Leadership Institute has already benefitted 40 emerging professionals from member firms across the city, and will continue to define the next generation of leadership in the region. The Foundation plans to maintain these offerings – and explore others – this year and beyond, expanding the AIA’s reach and influence. It is through the generosity of our members, partners, and community that we are able to provide such programs and opportunities. We are fortunate to have a dedicated and strong community of design professionals and partners that generously encourage our young leaders. A donation to the Foundation is an investment in the future of the profession in the Pittsburgh region.
