Mission Statement
Pet Orphans of Southern California (POSC), a private non-profit animal rescue, is committed to reducing euthanasia in city and county shelters by rescuing and successfully rehoming healthy, clean, loving adoptable dogs and cats. With our new Vet Clinic, we want to be able to provide low cost vaccines, spay/neuter, microchip and health care to the lower income community.
About This Cause
Pet Orphans is a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization dedicated to the advancement of companion animal welfare and to combating overpopulation, abandonment and the need for euthanasia. We have been rescuing, rehabilitating and placing animals in loving "forever homes" for 50 years. POSC provides broad community support through our Humane Education program, and our diverse client services (medical/financial, spay/neuter, training assistance, and counseling to encourage responsible pet guardianship and reduce animal abuse.)
