Mission Statement

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

About This Cause

Serving 24,000 youth and led by more than 7,931 adult volunteers, the Laurel Highlands Council: - Offers fun and adventure - Helps instill lifetime values and develops ethical character as expressed in the Scout Oath and Law - Trains young people in citizenship, service and leadership - Serves our communities and families by helping young people become caring, responsible adults Counties include: Allegheny, Beaver, Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Greene, Indiana, Somerset, Washington and parts of Armstrong, Clearfield, Fayette, Huntingdon and Westmoreland in Western Pennsylvania; Garrett and Allegany in Western Maryland; and Grant, Hardy, Hampshire and Mineral in West Virginia.
