Anchorpoint Counseling Ministry strengthens individuals and families through personalized mental wellness and educational services accessible to all. Anchorpoint is dedicated to serving community members and families of all faiths and backgrounds, regardless of insurance or ability to pay.
About This Cause
Anchorpoint is a team of licensed and experienced professionals committed to providing high-quality and affordable mental health and educational services to community members and families who are struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, past trauma, relationship problems, and other issues. Anchorpoint has a special focus on meeting the needs of uninsured, under-insured, and under-resourced populations through an innovative sliding-scale fee program (based on household income and family size) and by offering payment assistance/forgiveness to clients in times of financial hardship. Anchorpoint currently offers the following services to meet the mental health and educational needs of children, teens, adults (and parents), couples, and families: - Outpatient Counseling: Licensed and experienced counselors (LCSW, LSW, LPC, LMFT) use evidence-based therapeutic techniques to support individuals, couples, and families struggling with anxiety, depression, past trauma, abuse, grief, and other issues. - Therapeutic Support Groups: Licensed and experienced counselors facilitate therapeutic support groups averaging 8-12 participants who work together to navigate common struggles with self-care, parenting, single motherhood, bereavement, and other issues. - Educational Workshops/Seminars: Anchorpoint counselors and outreach representatives are available to present to youth, parents, and community groups on topics related to mental health, risk behaviors, effective parenting, and healthy relationships. - Tutoring/Mentoring: Certified teachers and skilled volunteers provide one-to-one academic coaching, encouragement, and learning support to K-12 students who are struggling significantly in school.
