Mission Statement
Crime Victim Center has been an integral part of Erie County since its inception in 1973 as the Erie County Rape Crisis Center. Through the years, our services grew and we were able to expand to help victims of all violent crime. In 2002, Rape Crisis Center/Victim Witness Services, Inc., as we were then called, changed our name to Crime Victim Center of Erie County, Inc., in order to best reflect the scope of our services.
About This Cause
A private non-profit, CVC offers free, confidential services to men, women and children who have been victims of crime or whose loved ones were victims. Regardless of when the crime occurred or whether or not police investigated, CVC is dedicated to reducing the impact of the crime on the lives of our clients. Our main office is in downtown Erie, but we have satellite offices in Girard, North East, Union City, Corry and Edinboro.
