Outreach Teen & Family Services provides a welcoming and supportive environment for young people and families. Our mission is to promote and provide empathetic, personal, accessible and affordable mental health counseling and wellness programs for children and families. We are an expert source of information about current youth and parenting challenges.
About This Cause
Outreach Teen & Family Services is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community based child and adolescent counseling agency. Founded in 1974, we provide professional, confidential counseling to young people ages 5 to 21 and their families. We see clients for a variety of concerns from anger management, family problems and school related issues to depression, anxiety, drug & alcohol and many other issues. All of our counselors hold a minimum of a master’s degree. Clients are seen within a short period of time from the initial contact with Outreach. Funding for Outreach is provided by the Mt. Lebanon Municipality, Allegheny County, fees, foundations, corporations, school contracts, businesses, civic and religious groups, fundraisers and individual donations. Outreach turns no one away because of inability to pay and in cases of financial hardship will provide subsidy. Some of Outreach’s counselors are credentialed to accept Aetna, Cigna, Highmark, ValuOptions or UPMC insurance. For over 40 years, Outreach Teen & Family Services has provided a welcoming and supportive environment for young people and their families. We offer counseling and educational programs that are affordable, accessible, confidential and responsive. We are an expert source of information regarding current adolescent and parenting challenges. Our mission is to be a community resource that helps youth and families thrive.
