Mission Statement
Pittsburgh Dynamo is a volunteer organization that organizes, conducts and administers programs of education and instruction for children ages 4-19 in the sport of soccer. We are affiliated with the Pennsylvania West Soccer Association (PA West), the United States Youth Soccer Association (USYSA) and the United States Soccer Federation (USSF). We draw players from Pittsburgh's East End.
About This Cause
Dynamo's philosophy emphasizes development of fundamental soccer skills, knowledge of the rules of soccer, and good sporting behavior. We seek to minimize competitive pressures on our players. We do not pursue success in competition for its own sake, only as a by-product of our approach. Dynamo operates several leagues with differing levels of competition: Recreation League - For ages 4 to 16. Everyone is welcome. Teams compete with other Dynamo teams in the same age bracket; Travel League - For ages 9 to 19. A more competitive league, selection is by try-out held once a year in the spring. Dynamo teams compete with teams from other clubs in PA West, typically within a hour radius of Pittsburgh; Indoor - Winter only. Ages 4 to 16. Everyone welcome. Teams compete with other Dynamo teams in the same age bracket; TOPSoccer - TOPSoccer is a national soccer program designed for mentally and physically challenged youths to learn and play soccer. Scholarships are available for each league.
