Mission Statement
The Hartslog Heritage Museum is dedicated to enriching our community through the preservation of our interesting and diverse heritage.
About This Cause
Through our active presence in our community, the museum and its many volunteers give back to our town and region. We hold a heritage and harvest festival every October, bringing hundreds of craft and food vendors to our main street for an amazing day filled with music, activities for adults and children, demonstrations of pottery making, a parade. We work with kids from the local high school to clean the town's main street and the kids help with the setting up for the big festival. We also host a field trip for the 4th grade every year to teach them the history of their town and region. Also on this day, they learn how the Pennsylvania Canal worked and they tour our museum.
