Mission Statement
Our mission is to restore the lives of those impacted by trauma, ultimately breaking the cycle of abuse, and building resilient families through a holistic, trauma-informed approach to care. This approach ensures that clients receive the support they need to heal and thrive mentally and physically.
About This Cause
With over 30 years of experience, the Children & Family Advocacy Center provides a safe, comprehensive, and collaborative approach to serving vulnerable children and families. The center offers advocacy, forensic interviewing, and medical and mental health services, all at no cost, to ensure that every child and family receives the quality, trauma-informed care they need. In addition to its core services, the CFAC works tirelessly to educate the community on recognizing and responding to child abuse with a trauma-informed approach. By doing so, the center aims to foster understanding and awareness of the issue while empowering individuals to take proactive steps toward prevention. The CFAC's mission is to restore the lives of those impacted by trauma, ultimately breaking the cycle of abuse, and building resilient families through a holistic, trauma-informed approach to care. This approach ensures that clients receive the support they need to heal and thrive mentally and physically. In January 2023, the CFAC expanded its services to include long-term residential care for women and children, made possible through a merger with Restoration Village. This expansion allows the center to provide life-changing services to clients affected by domestic abuse, homelessness, and other forms of trauma. With this new addition, the CFAC can now offer a continuum of care that addresses the complex needs of survivors and their families, ultimately helping them overcome their challenges and achieve long-term success.
