Mission Statement
The Connecticut Brain Tumor Alliance is a nonprofit dedicated to bringing hope and support to brain tumor patients and their caregivers. Our mission is to raise awareness about brain tumors, support brain tumor patients and their families, and fund research for better treatments and a cure.
About This Cause
Our organization began when individuals whose lives were forever changed by the words, "You have a brain tumor," came together to form an alliance to help other brain tumor patients and caregivers. Through our own experiences as brain tumor patients and caregivers, we understand the trauma and life-altering changes this disease can cause, and we are here to help. To that end, we established the Connecticut Brain Tumor Alliance as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization to raise awareness about brain tumors, provide hope and support to those affected by brain tumors, and raise funds for better treatments and a cure. We support improving the quality of life for brain tumor patients, caregivers, and families, and provide Patient Assistance Funds to families, specialized medical equipment to brain tumor centers, and money for research to further those goals. We are also committed to brain tumor education, and we have contributed scholarship funds to help pediatric brain tumor patients fulfill their college dreams and to support nurses who have demonstrated their own commitment to improving the lives of brain tumor patients. We strive to honor the memory of those who have bravely battled a brain tumor, while advancing treatment and care for those who are fighting.
