We enable deeply committed Jewish influencers to encounter firsthand the people, perspectives and challenges at the heart of the reality. Our programs inspire new perspectives, new conversations and new approaches to the reality. We are building a diverse Jewish leadership network across religious and political lines. Join us.
About This Cause
Encounter is a nonpartisan educational organization cultivating more informed and constructive American Jewish leadership on the Israeli-Palestinian reality. We engage deeply committed Jewish influencers who care deeply about the future of Israel, the vitality of the American Jewish community and the future of a strong relationship between the two and provide them a firsthand encounter with the people, perspectives and challenges at the heart of the reality, at a time when the reality continues to be one of the most polarizing issues facing American Jewry. Our programs inspire new perspectives, new conversations and new approaches to the reality, and equip communal influencers with experiences and skills to cultivate healthier and more constructive engagement in their respective sectors. Our broadest hope is that the Encounter experience will strengthen the capacity of our community’s leadership to contend with some of the most divisive, yet urgent issues of this moment in service of leading more constructively upon return.
