About This Cause
Renaissance 21's lead program Star Tech Global Academy (STGA) addresses diversity issues in STEM with a novel approach to serving the most vulnerable populations of at-risk and underrepresented youth. Our unique all-in-one mobile solution, powered by our Star Tech Fleet of classroom supply vehicles, provides everything necessary for 21st century STEM education: teachers, IT, curriculum, materials & supplies, and more. Our initial offerings include a Discover STEM Careers workshop that connects STEM professional volunteers with at-risk and underrepresented youth for hands-on demonstrations and Q&A, as well as The Coder's Club extra-curricular program that teaches desktop and mobile website development to at-risk and underrepresented youth. Current involvement opportunities include: VOLUNTEERS: High school, college, STEM professional, and community member volunteering with a focus on mentoring, support, and community engagement/outreach activities for the Discover STEM Careers workshop and The Coder's Club program. DONATIONS: In-kind and monetary donations with 100% of funds going toward the Discover STEM Careers workshop and The Coder's Club program.
