Mission Statement
Cantabile Youth Singers brings world-class artistic excellence in vocal music instruction to the youth of Silicon Valley by creating a supportive, enriching choral community for all, fostering the innate beauty, talent, and individual freedom of expression within each singer and engaging them in performances of the highest caliber.
About This Cause
Our singers, grades 1-12, enjoy weekly rehearsals, seasonal concerts, participation in music festivals, and tours abroad, are frequent guests with premier symphony, opera and ballet companies, and have performed a stand-alone concert at Carnegie Hall. Cantabile Youth Singers organizes its members into six different choirs, based on level and age: three age-appropriate Training Choirs for students grades 1-3; a fun and high-energy Intermediate Choir for students grades 4-6; and two choirs in the Performance Division: Avanti, for young people grades 6-8, wishing to further their musical experience by learning a fantastic variety of advanced literature; and Vocalise, Cantabile’s most advanced group for youth aged 14-18, who will find this group to be challenging, rewarding, and exciting to participate in! Cantabile offers three specialty choirs: Bravi, Con Brio, and Aria. Bravi and Con Brio are all young men's ensembles that offer the opportunity to sing a varied repertoire of engaging authentic choral music written for young men's voices. Singers in Con Brio receive special training for their maturing voices, and rehearse/perform alongside Bravi to build solid vocal technique and develop strong singing voices. Aria is a premier young women's A Cappella ensemble of sixteen to twenty voices. Aria performs at events and concerts and offers a challenging and rewarding experience to young women who sing a diverse repertoire that is difficult and engaging.
