Mission Statement
MusicWorks provides music therapy services to restore, improve and maintain the quality of life of all individuals throughout the Delaware Valley who are challenged by autism, special needs, illness or aging.
About This Cause
Music Therapy in our Treatment Centers MusicWorks facilitates small group music therapy sessions in our Havertown (Delaware County, PA) and our Hatboro (Montgomery County, PA) treatment centers. Our music therapy sessions are 30 minutes long and are in-person or delivered via TeleHealth. We provide services to children, young adults and adults with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, developmental delays and genetic abnormalities. For seniors, we service those with Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, social isolation and depression as well as those with medical needs and hospice care. Ages 1 - 99. Music Therapy in School Based Programs Through contracts and EITC contributions, MusicWorks supplies educationally designed music therapy programs into special education programs of public, private and chartered schools. Special needs classrooms for Autism Support, Emotional Support and Multi-Disabilities Support education. School based programs are in Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia Counties. Music Therapy - Community Based Programs MusicWorks provides services to the community! We service adults and seniors that reside in group homes or Community Living Arrangements at Elwyn, CADES, LifePath, KenCrest and Community Options. Our Board Certified Music Therapists visit once or twice a week to deliver a one hour session. For larger agencies, we provide on-campus services to clients in need.
