Mission Statement
Doc Emet Productions was founded in 2008 as a Massachusetts-based 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation. Its first regional office was established in Tennessee in 2016. Driven by its mission to produce and disseminate educational materials in a variety of media--particularly hard-hitting documentary films and blogs--that promotes freedom and democracy as well as strengthening Judeo-Christian values.
About This Cause
Since its founding in 2008, Doc Emet Productions has released four feature documentary films and is in production with its fifth. Screening and streaming around the world, Doc Emet Productions films are available on many digital streaming platforms, including Amazon, Apple TV, Google Play, Prime Video, Tubi, Vudu, and YouTube Movies. They have been translated into Arabic, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Swedish. "The Fight of Our Lives: Defeating the Ideological War Against the West" (2018) examines the penetration of anti-Western ideas and movements into academia, politics, society, and culture. The film features 31 distinguished scholars and experts, including Niall Ferguson, Ruth Wisse, Victor Davis Hanson, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Alan Dershowitz, Erick Stakelbeck, Brooke Goldstein, Allen B. West, Melanie Phillips, Robert Paquette, Tammi Rossman Benjamin, and Robert Nicholson. This award-winning film is the recipient of the Remi Special Jury Award at the Houston International Film Festival, Best Libertarian Ideals at the Anthem Film Festival, and the Freedom Award at the Save the USA Film Festival. It was also an Official Selection at the DOCUTAH International Documentary Film Festival and the Down East Flick Fest. "Body and Soul: The State of the Jewish Nation" (2014) presents a comprehensive examination of the broad and deep connections between the Jewish people and the Land of Israel. World-renowned historians, archaeologists, political scientists, religious leaders, and international law and media experts trace the evocative evolution of the relationship between the Jewish People and their homeland that is over 3,000 years old. "Body and Soul: The State of the Jewish Nation" is the recipient of the Remi Special Jury Award at the Houston International Film Festival and Official Selection at the Palm Beach Jewish Film Festival, Mobile Jewish Film Festival, Vancouver Jewish Film Festival, New Hampshire Jewish Film Festival, and the Rockland International Jewish Film Festival. "Unmasked Judeophobia" (2011) examines the resurgence of lethal Jew-hatred in regions around the world and connects that resurgence with the campaign to dismantle the Jewish state. The film features leading experts from around the world, including Robert Wistrich, Ruth Wisse, Elie Wiesel, Natan Sharansky, Chief Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks, Ron Dermer, Alvin Rosenfeld, Alan Dershowitz, Pilar Rahola, Fiamma Nirenstein, Kenneth L. Marcus, and Irwin Cotler. Unmasked Judeophobia has been incorporated into the Yad Vashem Visual Center in Jerusalem. Unmasked Judeophobia received the Platinum Remi Award at the Houston International Film Festival, Featured Selection at the Ottawa Free Thinking Film Festival, and Official Selection at Vancouver Jewish Film Festival, Festival Internacional de Cine Judio en la Argentina, Atlanta Jewish Film Festival, Rockland International Film Festival, Palm Beach International Film Festival, Mobile Jewish Film Festival, East Bay International Jewish Film Festival, Orange County International Film Festival, Broward County Jewish Film Festival, Calgary Jewish Film Festival, and Jerusalem Jewish Film Festival. Our first feature documentary film, "The Case for Israel: Democracy’s Outpost" (2008), presents a vigorous case for Israel—for its basic right to exist, to protect its citizens from terrorism, and to defend its borders from hostile neighbors. Alan Dershowitz, Felix Frankfurter Professor of Law at Harvard Law School, plays a central role in the film, and engages leading political, judicial, and academic leaders from Israel and North America in honest and intelligent discourse on the critical challenges facing Israel and the West. Gold Remi Award at the Houston International Film Festival, Special Mention at the Warsaw Jewish Film Festival, and Official Selection at the Haifa International Film Festival, Palm Beach International Film Festival, Festival Internacional de Cine Judio en la Argentina, Edmonton Jewish Film Festival, Los Angeles Jewish Film Festival, Calgary Jewish Film Festival, and San Diego Jewish Film Festival. In October 2020, Doc Emet Productions launched its monthly blog “Deep Dives into Critical Issues,” which features significant scholars probing issues critical to contemporary politics and culture.
