NYC SALT is a nonprofit digital photography program for inner-city teens in NYC.
About This Cause
Mission The mission of NYC SALT is to engage our students through professionally-led volunteer instruction in photography and digital technology; to inspire our students by exposing them to the professional world of the visual arts: and to empower our students with strong values and opportunities to achieve higher education and greater access to stable and rewarding careers. Vision: The vision for NYC SALT is to use photography to inspire students towards college and careers in the creative industry. We want to see our students learn to think of work as career and find vocations that they love. Values: Community, Integrity, Teamwork, Respect, Generosity, Effort, and FUN! When NYC SALT Youth graduate from our program, they are expected to embody the attributes of our DreamList: Award winning photography portfolios Professionalism Work-ready Entrepreneurial High School Graduates College Graduates Teammates, Friends and Family
