Mission Statement
Center of Persian Language Preservation - Alborz Farsi School was established in September of 2004 with the goal of being the top center of excellence for teaching Farsi Language in Northern California. It is our mission to educate and inform the younger generation of Iranian-Americans to read and write Farsi language, as well as learning the beauty of Persian art and culture. Our goal at Alborz is to provide more students the opportunity to learn Farsi language and Persian culture. In addition to this, we hope to continue our quest for students to receive foreign language credits, in various districts in Northern California. It is with great honor and privilege to announce that starting July 2014, Alborz Academy has become the first supplementary Farsi program to receive accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. This great achievement has enable our students to receive accreditation in different levels of their education. Alborz is located at 1954 Camden Ave. #3 San Jose, Ca. 95124 This center is designed with a unique and highly successful semi-private teaching style of very small classes where six or less students are assigned to a teacher and each get individual attention considering their age and abilities to learn a language.
About This Cause
According to the 2000 census there has been a large sustaining growth of Iranian Americans within the Bay Area. It is important that as a community we acknowledge this growing trend and do our best to educate and instruct future generations of Iranian Americans of Farsi language and Persian culture. At Alborz Academy it is our goal and aspiration to keep strong ties among students of all ages to their Iranian heritage by preserving Persian cultural traditions through methods of language, music, and art. Unfortunately with the current circumstances influenced by the economy and marketing, we are limited in reaching our potential of further educating a majority of the vast Iranian American population residing in the Bay Area. We hope that with your grant and support, we can address financial challenges, and reach out and further educate and preserve Farsi language amongst Iranian Americans community in the Bay Area for generations to come.
