Mission Statement
One Day's Wages (ODW) is a grassroots movement of people, stories, and actions to alleviate extreme global poverty. We promote awareness, invite simple giving, and support sustainable relief through partnerships, especially with smaller organizations in developing regions.
About This Cause
We aim to aid global issues of injustice affecting millions of people, regardless of race, culture, sex, age, or religion. We partner with NGO's around the world who are working on issues of poverty such as human trafficking, disaster relief, women's empowerment, as well as access to clean water, education, nutritious food, and healthcare. We do this through raising awareness and funds. 100% of donations go straight to the NGO's we support (minus credit care fees). We hope to inspire people around the world to donate their one day's wages, and then to renew that pledge monthly, quarterly or yearly--or to start campaigns for a cause by donating their birthday, one day of work, or numerous other ideas--to the cause of alleviating extreme global poverty. In short, we invest in people and communities, and we seek to inspire people to see themselves as everyday philanthropists. How can you join the movement? 1.
