Global Neighborhood offers pathways to employment for our neighbors who came as refugees.
About This Cause
Global Neighborhood provides job training to former refugees in Spokane, WA. Our mission is lived out at our thrift store, Global Neighborhood Thrift & Vintage. We offer specific training for newcomers to our city that equips them to be both employable and at ease in future jobs. Our hope is that the former refugees who work through our program will have the skills they need to successfully support themselves. Our job training curriculum provides learning opportunities catered to those people who do not speak English and who are deemed "unemployable" by the State. We offer people training that balances grace and teaching so that our trainees can learn the ropes of working in the United States. We have a 85% job placement rate after our program.
