Mission Statement
The mission of City Wildlife is to protect wildlife and wildlife habitat in the District of Columbia and surrounding areas.
About This Cause
City Wildlife runs the District of Columbia's only wildlife rehabilitation center and handles about 1200 sick, injured or orphaned wild animals a year, with the goal of releasing these animals back to the wild. City Wildlife also runs the Lights Out DC program which aims to protect migrating birds from fatal bird/glass collisions by working with glass building owners to reduce their nighttime lighting and provide other features that will prevent these fatal bird collisions.
