Mission Statement
To optimize health, well-being, and independence, we coordinate transportation options for people throughout the Monadnock Region.
About This Cause
For many of our neighbors who don’t have access to a vehicle due to age, ability, economics, or other circumstances, there can be very few available transportation options. CVTC was established in 2008 as a non-profit organization dedicated to helping ensure transportation for all in the Monadnock Region. We serve 34 towns in the Monadnock Region in southwestern New Hampshire. By offering “no-fee” transportation for those without access, CVTC’s team of staff and volunteers positively impact our communities in three primary ways. *Serving our neighbors in need of transportation by providing rides to non-emergency medical or social service appointments and the grocery store, bank, post office, or pharmacy. *Serving our neighbors looking for meaningful ways to make a difference by providing volunteer opportunities and supporting our volunteer drivers with training and orientation, an easy-to-use ride coordination system, and mileage reimbursement. *Serving public health by partnering with local hospitals, human services agencies, and municipalities to support the health, safety, and well-being of the residents in our communities. In 2023, CVTC served 346 individuals who requested 3,100 rides. 69 Volunteer Drivers drove over 131,000 miles using their cars and donated 6,300 hours of their time. Drivers select rides based on their availability and may choose to receive monthly mileage reimbursement. CVTC receives financial support from the Federal Transit Administration through the NH Department of Transportation, Cheshire and Hillsborough Counties, Dartmouth Health/Cheshire Medical Center, Monadnock Community Hospital, NH Charitable Foundation, and Roy A. Hunt Foundation. Direct Public Support from individuals, businesses, and 34 municipalities completes the list of our funders and donors.
