Our vision is to see North Seattle transformed by finding an epic life in Jesus Christ.
About This Cause
Epic Life Church is still a relatively new church as it opened its doors in the fall of 2009. But the story began almost three years before that with an unexpected, God-sized vision and an important first step of faith. Over the years and since those first unofficial meetings, Epic Life has striven to be a church who moves beyond a Sunday morning consumer mentality who weaves a culture of intentional living into everything we do. In addition to a regular Sunday Corporate Worship gathering, three additional Environments were established to make up the tapestry of Epic Life culture: House Church, Incarnational Ministry and Purposed Ministry. The main focus of Epic Life’s mission is a specific corner of North Seattle. The Aurora Avenue corridor is rich in cultural diversity, hosts an array of socioeconomic lifestyles and desperately needs Christ’s transformation power. Many of the struggles associated with homelessness, sex trafficking, and low incomes are notable to anyone who drives the corridor. Less noticeable but just as prevalent is the need for healing in the everyday lives of the thousands of singles and families who live along and drive through this section of the city. We exist to engage, serve and love this community we feel so strongly called to. We’ve striven to be a church who moves beyond a Sunday morning consumer mentality who weaves a culture of intentional living into everything we do. It is through this intentional mentality that we seek to see North Seattle transferred.
