Keeping Kids Safe from Predators

About This Cause

Million Kids is a public benefit 501c3 organization dedicated to the prevention and intervention of child and adult sex crimes including sex trafficking, social media exploitation, sextortion (blackmail with a photo), and child pornography or child abuse materials. We are globally recognized for our tens of thousands of hours of research on these subjects. We serve as the Training and Outreach Coordinator for the Riverside County (California) Human Trafficking Task Force through the Department of Justice. We coordinate first responder's, prosecutors, service providers and civic organizations for the Task Force. We are certified law enforcement trainers. We have trained first responder's across the nation including Police, Fire, Code Enforcement, Dept of Housing, Welfare Fraud Investigators, School Resource Officers, Medical Personnel, EMT's and other on scene investigators. We have also conducted hundreds of training programs for educators including universities, public and private schools. We have created specialized programs for medical workers, social workers, mental health workers, and civic leaders. In the course of our work with the Riverside County Sheriffs Department- Human Trafficking Task Force, we sit with parents who have kids that are being blackmailed, extorted or sex trafficked. We also assist kids to report and get assistance when they are being exploited especially through online gaming, chat rooms, or dating sites. Over the course of the past ten years we have been involved in identifying and initiating investigations for some of Riverside County's largest cases of exploitation. Million Kids broadcasts a weekly global podcast titled "Exploited: Crimes Against Humanity" each week on VoiceAmerica.com/Variety Channel reaching over 100 countries. We also have a local radio show on Salem Media AM 590 reaching much of Southern California. The Show is called "Exploited: Crimes and Technology" and is designed to educate parents and grandparents and teens about trends in apps and social media and how they are used by pedophiles, predators, gangs and organized crime to access, groom, recruit and exploit young people. Opal Singleton, The President and CEO of Million Kids has authored two books. "Seduced: The Grooming of America's Teenagers" and "Societal Shift: A World without Borders and a Home Without Walls". Societal Shift is in the process of being produced into a full length feature film and will contain a documentary for school class rooms. The film will be called "Seduced" and is scheduled for release in early 2021. Million Kids makes presentations to corporations, educational institutions, government agencies and the public across the nation on issues related to child and adult exploitation. We are known for our research and trends in how advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, encryption, crypto currency, mass audience live streaming and the Dark Net affect crimes of trafficking, money laundering, sextortion , social media exploitation and child pornography. Opal Singleton is also an instructor on Human Exploitation Crimes, Prevention and Intervention for the (USC) University of Southern California, Price School of Public Safety as well as the Los Angeles Fire Training Academy. Million Kids provides family support services for families with missing and runaway teenagers. We have sent out millions of flyers and work closely to support law enforcement and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children to assist families who have teens that are missing. Simply stated: Million Kids cares deeply about their kids and their families.
