The Washington Association of Land Trusts amplifies the work of 33 land trusts to conserve Washington’s diverse landscapes. We leverage collective knowledge, unify local priorities and ensure conservation is a solution to our state’s most pressing challenges.
About This Cause
The Washington Association of Land Trusts unifies 33 nonprofit land conservation organizations across our state to protect the landscapes that define our Northwest way of life. As the collective voice of the land trust community, we represent the priorities of residents from every corner of Washington. We advocate for the funding that conserves our most beloved and critical lands. We unify organizations, creating a platform for sharing knowledge and expertise. Through innovative trainings and extensive resources, we expand the capacity and success of land trusts. From farms and forests to habitat and recreation, WALT is the catalyst for conserving Washington’s diverse landscapes. As our state faces steady growth, we are ensuring that conservation is part of the solution to an economically strong and ecologically sound future.
