Mission Statement
The Parent Teacher Club (PTC) is organized for the purpose of supporting the education of children at Junction Elementary by fostering relationships among the school, parents, and teachers. Our mission is to provide fun, eventful, and educational support to the staff and families. The PTC hosts events that maintain a family focus with the intent to provide school and community unity.
About This Cause
Junction Elementary School takes its name from the pages of Roseville’s history. In 1864, in what is now present day Roseville, the Central Pacific Railroad’s east line crossed the California Central line. The crew called the place where the tracks intersected Junction. It wasn’t until about 40 years later that the city of Roseville was incorporated, and the name changed. Naming our school Junction reminds us of the strong influence the railroads have played in the history of our City. Today our students share a pride for our city’s history, and for their school. We are the Junction Jaguars, and we are focused on providing our students with a well-rounded education. Our goal is to provide all of our students with the knowledge necessary to be successful in school and in life. We focus on strong academics, leadership skills and life skills that will serve our student’s and their families well into the future. Junction Elementary opened its doors to families of two of Roseville’s newest communities WestPark and Fiddyment Farm in 2008 with only 250 students. Nine years later, our school has grown to over 725 students in kindergarten through 5th grade! Junction’s PTC helps support the school by bringing educational and fun events to the students and families. Every year, the PTC helps fund supplemental curriculum, technology, assemblies, and supports teachers and their classrooms. As our school continues to grow and as the school’s budget continues to decrease, we are turning to our business leaders within our community for much needed support. One of our goals this year is to provide an updated sound system in our multipurpose room for assemblies, choir, and drama productions. We have already raised funds from our families for some of the components, but it's turning out to be an ambitious venture, and we still need more funds for the choir mics and an integrated mounted projector system. Every year, Junction students work endless hours preparing for various productions and each year, families sit in the audience and strain to hear their children perform. It is disappointing for all. So, the PTC is doing what it can to raise the proper funds to help our students out. Any help from you will definitely get us closer to finishing the needed and long awaited updated sound system!
