Mission Statement
Wilson Youth Basketball provides access to organized youth basketball opportunities to over 500 5th through 8th grade boys and girls in Southwest Portland.
About This Cause
Wilson Youth Basketball (WYB) is proud to provide over 500 5th through 8th grade boys and girls in Southwest Portland, Oregon the opportunity to play organized basketball in a level-appropriate league. This opportunity not only provides the kids the chance to learn basketball skills and improve their game, it also teaches them the value of teamwork, commitment, responsibility and individual hard work. Wilson Youth Basketball is run by a 100% volunteer Board of Directors, so every dollar donated to the organization is spent directly on providing opportunities for kids. The services that WYB provide include on-line player registration, player evaluation, team assignment, coach vetting and selection, uniform procurement and league registration.
