Mission Statement
Sunshine Golden Retriever Rescue is a 501c3 registered rescue group. Since 2005 the volunteers of SGRR rescue Golden Retrievers and Golden-hearted dogs who have been abandoned, abused or relinquished by their owners. We are dedicated to finding the best possible homes for golden retrievers and retriever mixes in need in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, Eastern New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Vermont and the Alabama area.
About This Cause
SGRR takes dogs from shelters, strays, owner-surrenders and provides them with necessary medical treatment including spay/neutering and heart worm treatment. Dogs are evaluated for behavioral or temperament issues and are placed in foster homes, directly adopted by screened approved adopters or are placed in boarding facilities for further medical or behavioral evaluation while we search for the best possible home for the dog.
