Mission Statement
Driven by volunteerism, Friends of Mitchell (FoM) is comprised of parents, teachers, and members of the community. We support Mitchell Elementary through fundraising and other volunteer activities, with a commitment to make Mitchell a great school for all its students.
About This Cause
Friends of Mitchell is the501(c)(3) organization charged with raising money for Mitchell Elementary School in Chicago, IL. We are made up of parent volunteers, teachers and members of the community. We support programs at Mitchell School such as educational software for instructional use, new technology equipment, Hubbard Street dance classes, essential classes (art, music, p.e., chinese), supplemental music programs (band and violin), extra buses for field trips, new books for classrooms, learning garden, small campus beautification projects, community building events and more.
