About This Cause
The Indianapolis Cultural Trail: A Legacy of Gene and Marilyn Glick is recognized around the world for enriching the lives of Indianapolis residents and visitors by providing a beautiful connection to each other, culture, art and healthy living. The Cultural Trail connects the downtown cultural districts and serves as the downtown hub for the central Indiana trail network. The 10-mile Trail traverses neighborhoods and the central business district, connecting major sporting and cultural venues, as well as employment and education centers, theaters, museums and food, beverage and retail establishments. Since 2013, the Cultural Trail has been the connective tissue of our city’s downtown and is filled with dynamic art, nature and beauty along its path. The Cultural Trail also symbolizes progress, and serves as an engine for ongoing economic, residential and tourism growth and vitality, strengthening the resilience and expanding opportunities for all of Indianapolis. As an organization, the Cultural Trail values innovation, inclusivity, excellence, and most of all, people. Our team comes to work every day striving to create the best experience for all who use and rely on the Cultural Trail, 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. Indianapolis Cultural Trail Inc. (ICTI) also manages the city's bike sharing system, Pacers Bikeshare, which has 52 stations and over 400 bikes, including e-bikes, throughout the city and available for residents and visitors 365 days a year, 24/7. In partnership with the City of Indianapolis, ICTI also provides free community programming at the Downtown Canal and Lugar Plaza including a latin dance night, wellness and fitness classes, and family programming.
