About This Cause
Grow It Green devotes its resources and efforts to creating a more just, sustainable food system. Grow It Green manages an urban learning farm dedicated to encouraging curiousity and exploration for students of all ages creating a connection to where and how food is grown and sparking innovation in ways to grow food and care for the land. We donate tons of fresh food each year to address nutritional inequity in NJ communities to elevate the health of our residents. In addition we manage a community garden, a greenhouse in collaboration with a local university and a winter farmers' market. We are creating pathways as well for underrepresented individuals in agroecology fields to discover the resilience and strength that comes from growing your own food as a means to tie culture, food and service.
